Our little one arrived early, by 4 weeks and 5 days according to my due date.
Thursday, around 7 p.m. I started having cramps so my Dr. told us to meet her at Labor and Delivery. We got a room at about 9 p.m. and they started giving me terbutaline shots to stop the contractions. (They weren’t bad, but they were 2-3 minutes apart.) At that point I was 1 cm dilated. No prob.
Until the next shot came and the contractions continued. 2 cm dilated.
It was time to get in the OR. Everything went well, but for an adverse reaction to the morphine.
Shawn looked worried, but I am so proud of him. And of Scout.
She’s amazing. Definitely a Christmas miracle. She loves to sleep, just like her mama. And she has a lot of daddy’s faces…especially the grouchy ones! But she’s wonderful.
Merry Christmas to all of my friends and family!
